A Good Affair

I had the pleasure of following Natalie Good from A Good Affair the other day for a wedding at Bella Collina. It once again reminded me of why a bride needs a wedding planner. So many details to cover. The only thing a bride and her family should think about on the day of the wedding is the celebration. I watched as Natalie and her team loaded in boxes of details that had been created and gathered for months and preciously placed them. From a ceremony sight with large frames and pillars, to sweet little boxed s’more favors, every detail was orchestrated to the brides vision. Tables were dressed with flowers, candles and menu cards. Did I mention Natalie also does floral design? A real bonus and savings for her clients.

Bouquets were delivered and corsages pinned. Decor pieces large and small were added. The coordination with the catering staff is such an important detail. Natalie truly understands this aspect as she comes from a catering background. A well managed timeline is so important for the back of the house. Appetizers need to be prepared and tray passed as guests enter the cocktail hour. Plated meals are prepared to specification and need to be served immediately. This timing is so important  in food presentation. Escort cards were coordinated to distinguish which guests had filet and which had chicken. A subtle detail.

The bride arrives and her every need is attended to. The bridal party is organized and the ceremony is flawlessly executed.

Natalie truly enjoys her couples and becomes a friend and confidant. I could see how her couples rely on her to care for every aspect of their day so they could relax and celebrate their love with the ones they love.
