National Doughnut Day

It’s National Doughnut Day!! Established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to raise much-needed funds during the Great Depression, and to honor the Salvation Army “Lassies” of WWI, it is observed on the first Friday in June.

Although we don’t make doughnuts, we make a pretty mean beignet. Sprinkled with sugar and a lovely dipping sauce… DIVINE!

So, if I have you craving doughnuts now, head on over to Krispy Kreme for your free doughnut. That’s right, in celebration of this national holiday that is near and dear to their heart, they are giving away free doughnuts all day in any flavor. Enjoy!

Your beignets are making me drool. Haven’t had them in ages. Do you guys make your own?

Unfortunately, we don’t have many Krispy Kreme locations up here in Canada. I wish we did, since their donuts are so much more tastier than any of our Canadian brands.
