Ooh La La
We had so much fun this last weekend creating a little bit of Paris for this French inspired Bridal Shower. Here is a little peek. More to come this week!

Some of our fabulous French Desserts, Pastries, and Signature Cocktail Kir Noir, are featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs today. It was so much fun working with Desiree Patterson of Social Creative as her vision came to life. She pulled together a fantastic team to create this elegant French table at The Grand Del Mar. Who wouldn’t want to sit in a beautiful room, at a gorgeous table, and eat pastries and drink cocktails? Check out the full post HERE. So many cakes to choose from this week. I am sure you can see why I chose this one. This colorful beauty is heading to Seven Degrees in Laguna. I love the whimsy of the flowers as the cascade down the front, along with waves and swirls. I am certain this cake is destined for a lively celebration.
I must say I truly enjoy watching all of the cakes leave for their destinations every weekend. Today I was there on personal business. It is my Mother-in-Law’s birthday, so I was picking up a cake for her. You may think this is a simple little cake. However, it is holding an amazing surprise. You see my Mother-in-Law is a huge cheesecake fan. So inside of this tiny beauty is layer upon layer of white cake and cheesecake. A M A Z I N G! All wrapped up in whipped cream. Probably my favorite combination. So off I go to our destination. This lucky little cake gets to go to Mr. Chow’s in Beverly Hills with me. Maybe we will start with dessert!
Every Saturday I have the pleasure of watching the cakes exit the cooler and off to their celebrations. I call it the cake parade. Today there were a few tasty beauties that caught my eye… and for different reasons. This first cake was for a Quinceañera. Normally I am not a fan of butterflies. However, the mix of translucent and jeweled butterflies were magical. I am sure this one is for a very special young woman.
I LOVE the simple beauty of this rustic cake. There is something so comfortable and “home-made” about it. I wish I could travel with it to see how the top is adorned. I could see twigs and birds. Possibly even fruit.
I am sure you can see why I choose this next cake. It is a neoclassical gem. I love the floral swag and precise leaf detail. Black and white is so simple and classic. However, the gold beading sets it off.
Another simple black and white cake. Square shape, dressed with three different ribbons, and covered in fondant. The vanilla fragrance was intoxicating.
This last one is pretty basic. I love a swag and dot pattern and aqua is one of my new favorite colors. To me a monogram will never go out of style.
