Pinwheels
This cute little cake is heading out today for a sweet, intimate wedding at The McCharles House and Gardens. I LOVE when a wedding reflects the bride and groom and their fun-loving spirit.

There are people you meet and immediately you “click”. I felt that way the first time I sat with Kerry Pulverman of de Luxe Weddings and Events. I love her attention to detail and her ever-present smile. She is a great listener and always calm and reassuring. I spent the day with her at The Dana Point Yacht Club for Rachel and Anthony’s wedding. I could see how her clients depended on her wisdom and direction. Every last little detail was in place. Kerry, along with her assistants worked seamlessly behind the scenes. From the programs tied to ceremony chairs to the menu cards and signature cocktail signs, Kerry and her team made all paper-goods in-house. Clearly an added value for her clients. Rachel and Antony were able to fully enjoy their wedding day knowing Kerry had everything organized and covered. Thank you Rachel and Anthony for letting us share in your day of celebration. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
So many cakes to choose from this week. I am sure you can see why I chose this one. This colorful beauty is heading to Seven Degrees in Laguna. I love the whimsy of the flowers as the cascade down the front, along with waves and swirls. I am certain this cake is destined for a lively celebration.
Seriously!?! This cake just screams DIVA! So much about it I LOVE. Inside… red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and white cake with strawberry cream. Covered in fondant, ribbons on the bottom, jeweled damask on the top. Adorned with a feather mask. How I would love to see this Diva’s face when she sees it. She loves pink, animal prints, Louboutins, large jewelry, & Dr. Pepper. Happy Birthday Hanssie Trainor!
Almost a dozen cakes heading out this weekend to celebrate weddings, quinceañeras, and even an anniversary cake going to The St. Regis Monarch Beach. However, it was this four tiered quinceañera cake that caught my eye. White cake, filled with strawberry cream, frosted with buttercream. I love traditions and family celebrations. In Latin American countries the Quinceañera is a celebration of a young woman coming of age. Most of these parties are just as elaborate as weddings. I have noticed that butterflies seem to be the trend for this fifteen-year-old celebration. Whether a wedding, anniversary, or quinceañera, a special cake reflects your personality and proclaims celebration.
