Vintage Dessert Station

With the color of Valentines Day being primarily RED, I thought I would give you another look at LOVE. I had the opportunity to present a dessert station at one of my favorite photographer’s studio AND work with some of the BEST in the industry. If you have never met Joel from Studio EMP, you must check him out (and fall in love with his work). The awe inspiring backdrop for my dessert station was made by Larrissa from Inviting Occasion. The gorgeous florals were created by Sussanna from French Buckets AND the charming vintage farm table and props are from Jeni at Found Vintage Rentals.

Sweets for the New Year

Happy 2012!! I love the anticipation of Christmas and decking the halls with red and green. I also love putting it all away and surrounding my self with fresh, cheery colors. Yellow has always been a favorite. It reminds me that spring is on the way. Here a few sweets our culinary team has cooked up for the new year.

National Doughnut Day

It’s National Doughnut Day!! Established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to raise much-needed funds during the Great Depression, and to honor the Salvation Army “Lassies” of WWI, it is observed on the first Friday in June.

Although we don’t make doughnuts, we make a pretty mean beignet. Sprinkled with sugar and a lovely dipping sauce… DIVINE!

So, if I have you craving doughnuts now, head on over to Krispy Kreme for your free doughnut. That’s right, in celebration of this national holiday that is near and dear to their heart, they are giving away free doughnuts all day in any flavor. Enjoy!

Happy French Macaron Day!

I could go on and on about this sweet little treat, but will let the pictures do the talking. Bon Appétit!

Bold Colors

Okay, so it’s not the best picture. It was taken with a phone and sent to me. Here is where those cute little cookie cakes landed along with a tall roughly frosted cake with oranges on top.  I love the bold dramatic colors and styling by French Buckets!
