Brandon grew up in Yorba Linda, CA and received his B.S. in Business Management from Cal State San Marcos. Brandon’s family had used Jay’s as their caterer of choice in the past, so he knew about the company long before he joined our team. He has over 10 years of experience in the catering industry and has worn many hats within it; Brandon has worked as a Server, a Bartender, an Event Captain, an Event Specialist, and is now Director of Food & Beverage for Jay’s. One of Brandon's strongest talents rests in his diverse industry experience. He can skillfully and knowledgeably advise his clients in every aspect of their events because he has worked in several different tiers of the industry.
With Brandon’s catering focused background and firsthand experience with the needs and wants of clients, he has been successfully transforming our food and beverage offerings. His knowledge on how certain menus work better for different environments, times of day, and locations allow him to change our menus to be more client focused. Living in Southern California provides Brandon the opportunity to look to his environment for fresh ideas. In such a culturally diverse landscape, the fusion of different flavors and ingredients inspire him to take flavor profiles from different cuisines and rework them in a new and sometimes more approachable way. With clients wanting a large variety of offerings displayed beautifully, Brandon foresees the industry moving away from your traditional, standard buffet and 4 item menus. He is aware that guests are also more interested in where their food is coming from, so the industry is adapting by labeling origins in food descriptions and having vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options included in every meal.
