Cake Parade
Every Saturday I have the pleasure of watching the cakes exit the cooler and off to their celebrations. I call it the cake parade. Today there were a few tasty beauties that caught my eye… and for different reasons. This first cake was for a Quinceañera. Normally I am not a fan of butterflies. However, the mix of translucent and jeweled butterflies were magical. I am sure this one is for a very special young woman.
I LOVE the simple beauty of this rustic cake. There is something so comfortable and “home-made” about it. I wish I could travel with it to see how the top is adorned. I could see twigs and birds. Possibly even fruit.
I am sure you can see why I choose this next cake. It is a neoclassical gem. I love the floral swag and precise leaf detail. Black and white is so simple and classic. However, the gold beading sets it off.
Another simple black and white cake. Square shape, dressed with three different ribbons, and covered in fondant. The vanilla fragrance was intoxicating.
This last one is pretty basic. I love a swag and dot pattern and aqua is one of my new favorite colors. To me a monogram will never go out of style.
