A Virtual Minimony Styled Shoot at Forme Los Angeles

There are so many ways to keep your original wedding date amid COVID and still make it unforgettably special. Whether your venue is making you postpone, cut your guest count, or in the worst case scenario, cancel altogether, the options are endless in transforming what may seem like a negative into something positive! To showcase just how unique and memorable a COVID wedding can be, we worked with a team of vendors to showcase a virtual minimony at Forme Los Angeles.

Make sure you send out updated invites to your guests who are attending your wedding virtually. Invites can be physically recreated or you can go the paperless route and create an updated evite with all the needed information.

Choose your venue. In this case we chose to create the minimony in the Open Air Loft at Forme Los Angeles. Since guests were invited to join virtually, we were able to set everything up in a smaller space that might not have been possible with a large guest count.

Don’t downplay your dress or suit just because you are having a smaller/virtual event. Wear your originally picked out wedding dress, or get a fun new dress just for your minimony and save the original wedding dress for your postponed ‘big wedding’ date!

Create a dual purpose backdrop for your minimony and after ceremony toast. We brought in a copper arch and decorated it with greenery and white flowers to compliment both the vow exchange and sweetheart table. Once the decor is set, turn that live button on and share personal, handwritten vows with your future spouse.

After saying “I do,” share a champagne toast and a slice of cake at your sweetheart table to commemorate the day.
