Black and White Contrast Serra Plaza Wedding

After getting ready inside the Bridal Suite at Serra Plaza, Deann met Elias at Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look. On the count of three, Elias turned around to see his beautiful bride standing before him dressed in a crepe and lace gown. An emotional exchange was shared, then the couple joined their wedding party for photos around The Mission. The bridesmaids wore champagne-colored dresses and the groomsmen were dressed in tan. Together, the group smiled for the camera creating lasting memories for years to come, then headed back to the venue for ceremony.

Guests signed the bride and groom’s guest book and headed into the courtyard to find a seat. White floral arrangements and flower petals decorated the ceremony space and sparkling chandeliers hung above. As soon as everyone was seated, the wedding party made their entrances and took their places at the head of the aisle. In front of all their closest friends and family, Elias and Deann recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Chicken Jalapeno Empanadas and Crab Cakes made their rounds for cocktail hour while the bar was serving up the newlywed’s signature drinks, an Old Fashioned and Paloma. While guests mixed and mingled, the bride and groom wandered around the venue soaking in newlywed bliss and posing for pictures together as husband and wife. Upon their return, it was time to take a seat for reception.

Back in the courtyard, tables were topped with flickering candles, floral centerpieces, and black napkins. A while dance floor was positioned just in front of the sweetheart table with reception table surrounding it. Deann and Elias made their grand entrance to an uproar of cheers, shared their first dance, and took a seat. Tequila Lime Chicken, Slow Roasted Carnitas, Pasilla Rice, Elote Creamed Corn, and Ensalada Las Mesas were served. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Brittany. While guests enjoyed dinner, family and friends shared toasts and glasses clinked over the candlelight. After dinner, the couple cut into their wedding cake, popped champagne, and invited their guests to indulge in our Latin Dessert Station with a collection of Petit Tres Leches Cakes, Mini Caramel Custard Flan, Coconut Macarons, Dulce de Leche Chocolate Tarts, and Mexican Wedding Cookies. The evening ended out on the dance floor with plenty of dancing and posing in front of a floral-filled backdrop for photos to take home as keepsakes.
