Black and White Hangar 21 South Wedding

Alex put on on her heels in the bridal suite at Hangar 21 South, then headed downstairs to meet Gary for their first look. Gary and his groomsmen and the bridesmaids were already waiting for the beautiful bride’s arrival when she came walking in. With a tap of the shoulder, Gary turned around while the bridal party watched from a distance.  Smiles filled everyone’s faces when the bride and groom saw each other for the first time that day and cheering could be heard in the distance. Gary did a full 360 around Alex admiring his soon to be wife from every angle while showering her with compliments. The two were then joined by their groomsmen and bridesmaids for group photos before ceremony. Everyone was wearing black, except Alex of course. Her dress stood out from the group in all white with beading and lace details. Her and her bridesmaids held bouquets of white and black flowers and the groomsmen had white pocket squares. Once all the friends and family photos were done, the group lined up for the ceremony.

A welcome sign on the side patio ensured guests were at the right spot for Alex and Gary’s wedding. A black hexagon arch stood center stage and was decorated with black and white flowers and green foliage. More floral arrangements made their way down either side of the aisle where guests were filling in seats. Once everyone was seated, the ceremony began and Gary walked out high-fiving friends as he made his way to the stage. Last to make an entrance was Alex, and everyone stood as she walked to her groom. In front of their closest friends and beloved family, the bride and groom shared vows and exchanged rings. The ceremony was sealed with a newlywed kiss, then everyone headed to the tarmac for cocktail hour.

Beef Picadillo Empanadas, Crab Cakes and Baked Polenta Squares were tray passed while beverages were poured at the bar. The newlyweds signature cocktails, an Italian Margarita and Old Fashioned, were popular picks at the bar. Guests sipped and snacked while Alex and Gary were off enjoying their flight over Orange County. Upon their return, everyone cheered as they excitedly made their grand entrance into the hangar.

Inside, tons of candles lit the top of each table and floral runners tied everything together. The ceremony arch was brought in and placed behind the sweetheart table and additional flowers decorated the sides. Black napkins were perfectly folded to hold printed menus and acrylic laser cut names were placed on top. Guests found their seats and watched while the bride and groom shared their first dance. After, toasts were made and laughs were shared, then dinner was served. Southwest Chicken, Slow Roasted Carnitas, Refried Beans, Corn Tortillas, Spanish Rice, Ensalada Las Mesas, and Jay’s Famous Tortilla Chips with homemade salsa was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Casey. Everyone loved the meal and even went back for seconds. Needing a little something sweet after dinner, Alex and Gary cut into their 2-tiered carrot cake and invited guests to enjoy the Gourmet Dessert Station that had a collection of Mini Lemon Curd Tarts, Berry Champagne Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Mini Carrot Cake Cupcakes, and Caramel Cream with Lemon Curd and Praline Crisp Dessert Shots. The remainder of the evening was spent out on the dance floor dance battling and moving to the music.
