Boho-Inspired Wedding at Hangar 21 South

The side patio at Hangar 21 South was set for a boho-inspired wedding ceremony. A wooden arbor stood center stage and was decorated in light colored roses and macrame, and lanterns filled with candles lined the aisle for added romance. Emily was with her bridesmaids in front of Hangar 21 South while Connor and his groomsmen kept their distance from the girls on the tarmac so they wouldn’t see each other before walking down the aisle. Emily was dressed in a beautiful lace wedding gown that paired perfectly with the free spirited vibe of the day. Her bridesmaids matched in taupe maxi dresses that were all different styles and each girl held a bouquet of light pink and white flowers to match the ceremony backdrop and reception decor. The groom wore a black bow tie to differentiate himself from his groomsmen wearing ties and each of them wore matching classic black suites. After the groups posed for a few photos, they lined up and awaited the ceremony.

Guests arrived to the decorated side patio and found their seats just before Emily and Connor made their entrances. Connor was grinning from ear to ear when he saw his stunning bride, and she of course was smiling right back. The two recited vows in front of family and friends, exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife. Loud cheering and celebratory music filled the air as the bride and groom shared a kiss and exited the ceremony into cocktail hour. Bruschetta al Pomodoro, Ellie’s Parmesan Meatballs and Caprese Skewers were individually plated for guests to pick up and enjoy as they pleased and an open bar was frequented. The newlyweds escaped for a quick flight over Orange County and touched down just in time for their reception. Inside the hangar, tables were covered with flowers, greenery and candles and each place setting was marked with a gold charger and white linen napkin. Everyone found their assigned tables and seat, then Emily and Connor shared their first dance as husband and wife before dinner was served. With help from our Event Specialist Casey, Emily and Connor pre-selected our delicious Tuscan Menu to serve to their guests on their wedding day. Plates were filled with Chicken Piccata, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Roasted Italian Zucchini, Italian Green Beans with Pancetta, and Caesar Salad while toasts were being shared. After dinner, a white cake with strawberry creme filling and French buttercream icing and a chocolate cake with vanilla bavarian filling and French buttercream icing was cut and served to those with a hankering for something sweet. After making and sharing memories, everyone headed out to the front of the venue for a sparkler send off. The night sky around the newlyweds lit up in a sparkling frenzy while guests cheered and the happy couple said their goodbyes.
