Clay Tones and Blush Floral Wedding at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano
Tiffanie and her bridesmaids got ready inside the Serra Plaza Bridal Suite, filed into a trolley, and made their way over to Mission San Juan Capistrano where Chris was waiting. Under the historic archways, Tiffanie approached her groom and brushed his shoulder signaling him to turn around. As soon as their eyes met, smiles filled their faces and sweet compliments were shared. After the intimate first look, the couple was joined by their bridesmaids and groomsmen in the Ruins of the Great Stone Church. Together they posed for photos creating memories to last a lifetime, then headed back to Serra Plaza.
Guests signed the bride and groom’s guest book at their welcome table, grabbed champagne, and headed into the courtyard. Wooden and velvet chairs were arranged in rows under the shade of nearby trees. Blush and terracotta florals poured out of pottery that lined the aisle and decorated the Spanish Fountain backdrop. Once everyone was seated, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances. In front of all their closest friends and loving family, Tiffanie and Chris recited their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Inside, a clay-toned lounge sat in front of the fireplace with rust and blush pops of color from the pillows and florals. Tables were topped with fresh floral bud vases, and deckled edge escort cards were displayed at the back of the room. Crab Cakes, Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts, and Caprese Skewers were tray passed to hungry guests and the bar served up Negroni and Lychee Martini signature drinks. While everyone mixed and mingled, the newlyweds posed with family and friends for photos, then joined everyone inside the Lounge at the end of cocktail hour. Glasses clinked and stories were shared, then everyone headed back out to the Courtyard for the reception.
Fresh florals in blush, ivory, and green, tan table numbers weighted with stone, and sandstone and moss-colored candlesticks sat atop taupe chiffon as each reception table’s centerpiece. Sparkling chandeliers hung above and were beginning to glow as the sun set creating a romantic ambiance just as everyone sat for dinner. Chris and Tiffanie made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Pear and Walnut Salad was served while toasts were shared followed by Cabernet Braised Short Ribs, Lemon and Thyme Chicken, Roasted Broccolini, and Parmesan Polenta. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Selena. After dinner, the bride and groom cut into our Almond cake with raspberry creme filling and invited their guests to indulge in our French Dessert Station with a collection of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Lemon Curd Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Lavender Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves and singing at the top of their lungs to every song.
