Coastal Wedding with Ocean Views and Plum Florals in Southern California

Plum flowers and the Pacific Ocean acted as Chris and Erika’s wedding ceremony backdrop at The Ocean Institute. Once guests found their seats, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Erika dressed in white. The bride and groom read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss as the crowd cheered.

Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Crab Cakes, and Thai Chicken Spring Rolls were tray passed while the bar served up Old Fashioned and Lemon Drop signature drinks for cocktail hour. Shades of purple flowers decorated the cocktail hour space, and a modern lounge provided additional stylish seating for everyone. Guests left voice messages for the newlyweds, posed for selfies, and mixed and mingled until it was time to head inside for the reception.

Tables were topped with deep red, purple, and pink floral centerpieces, taupe candlesticks, velvet napkins, and printed menus. Once everyone was seated, the newlyweds made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table. Zucchini Lime Chicken, Tri-Tip Carvery, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, and Pear and Walnut Salad were served while toasts were shared. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Brittany. After dinner the couple cut into their wedding cake and invited everyone to indulge in our Classic Dessert Station with a collection of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Mango and Passion Fruit Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. The evening ended with lots of dancing, late-night Mini Corn Dogs to fuel everyone, and lots of photos taken in the photo booth to remember the beautiful day.
