Let’s Talk Bread Featuring Our Lead Bread Baker, Oscar

Today we’re taking you backstage where all the magic happens in our Jay’s Catering kitchen and featuring our Lead Bread Baker, Oscar. Jay’s Catering grew its popularity with our famous cheese rolls and irresistible Palm Sandwiches back in 1967, and still to this day, these items remain most the popular and a Jay’s Catering staple across our many menus. For the last 30 years, Oscar has been baking our cheese rolls, focaccia bread, bagels, baguettes, brioche, pies, carrot cakes, and pretty much all our delicious carbs and carrying on our legacy as one of Orange County’s top caterers. We recently installed a new proofer and oven where Oscar bakes our breads and his favorite item to make are our cheese rolls - You can even smell them around 5pm in the office as they bake in the oven. Thank you for all your hard work and many years of dedication Oscar! You can see him below making our breads along with our new oven and proofer.
