Maroon & Marriage at The Estate on Second

The Crystal Ballroom at The Estate on Second was decorated in tropical green leaves that lined the aisle along with candles and maroon florals for Brooke and Khalifa’s wedding. Brooke finished getting ready in the Bridal Suite and slipped into her white lace wedding gown. Her bouquet was full of different purple, red and maroon flowers to go with the theme. The bridesmaids wore black dresses and Khalifa and his groomsmen wore maroon tuxedos with black lapels and were all awaiting their debut down the aisle. The music cued up and the wedding party took their spots just before Brooke walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father. She met Khalifa at the front of the aisle where they exchanged loving vows before heading into cocktail hour.

The bar opened and Thai Chicken Spring Rolls with Thai Peanut Sauce and Curry Apple Chicken Skewers were served as hors d’oeuvres. The newlyweds signature cocktails were a Moscow Mule and Mojito. Guests sipped and snacked while Brooke and Khalifa took photos with their wedding party. After cocktail hour, everyone was invited downstairs for toasts, dinner and dancing. Black linens covered every table and tropical leaves sat in vases on top of each table as centerpieces. Placed were set with name cards and a bougainvillea flower was placed atop each napkin. Friends and family shared sweet memories with everyone during toasts while dinner was served: Thai Three Flavored BBQ Chicken, Korean Bulgogi Beef, Vegetable Fried Rice, Far East Wok Long Beans, and Asian Cucumber. After dinner, the newlyweds cut their cake. One tier of the cake was almond cake with strawberry crème filling and the other tier was chocolate cake with cappuccino crème filling. The cake was iced in chocolate buttercream icing and covered in marble fondant with gold leaf. After this sweet treat, guests made their way to the dance floor to show off their moves for the rest of the night.
