Mauve Nuptials at Serra Plaza

After getting ready at the Inn at the Mission, Savannah and Tanner met inside Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look. Savannah approached Tanner in her white wedding gown with pearl detailing and tapped his shoulder for him to turn around. As soon as Tanner saw his beautiful bride, happy tears filled his eyes. The bride and groom exchanged compliments and hugs, then were joined by their bridal party for group photos. The groomsmen were dressed in black suits matching Tanner, and the bridesmaids all wore different styles of dresses in pink, ivory, or gold. Together, the bridal party posed around the Mission making memories before heading to Serra Plaza for ceremony.

Guests arrived in the courtyard at Serra Plaza for Savannah and Tanner’s wedding day, signed their guest book, then took a seat. Arrangements of burgundy, white, mauve, and toffee colored flowers marked the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain, and sparkling chandeliers hung above. As soon as everyone was seated, Tanner made his entrance followed by the rest of the wedding party and ending with Savannah. Everyone stood as the bride made her way down the aisle over to her groom. In front of all their family and friends, Tanner and Savannah read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss. The newlywed’s danced their way out of the ceremony and into cocktail hour.

Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts, and Roasted Red Cherry Tomato Bruschetta were tray passed to hungry guests while the bar was mixing up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, an Italian Margarita and Aperol Spritz. Guests mixed and mingled while Savannah and Tanner watched from the second story hallway above. The couple posed for some photos as husband and wife before rejoining their party for dinner.

Reception tables were draped in ivory linens and topped with floral centerpieces and tall candlesticks. Gold charger plates, gold flatware, and printed menus completed each place setting. A seating chart and name cards helped guests find their assigned seats for dinner. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party made their grand entrances ending with Savannah and Tanner. Everyone clapped as the newlyweds danced in and sat at their sweetheart table. Family and friends took turns giving toasts and glasses clinked in the air as each speech ended. Tables were excused one by one to fill up at the buffet with Chicken Parmigiana, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Roasted Italian Zucchini, Caesar Salad, and Italian Chopped Salad. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from their event specialist, Brittany. While everyone was finishing up dinner, Savannah and Tanner shared their first dance, and danced with their parents. Afterwards, it was time to cut the cake. The bride and groom did a private cake cutting and shared a bite of almond cake between the two of them. With dinner over, the newlywed’s invited their guests to indulge in our Italian Dessert Station with an assortment of Fresh Fruit Tarts, Chocolate Dipped Cannolis, Florentine Cookies, Meyer Lemon Cheesecake Bars, and Mini Italiano Tiramisu Cupcakes. A lined formed at the dessert station and plates filled up quickly with sweet treats. Full and fueled up from dinner and dessert, everyone hit the dance floor to show off their best moves. Family and friends surrounded the bride and groom and danced together in celebration. As the evening came to an end, everyone headed outside for Tanner and Savannah’s exit. Guests rang small bells as the bride and groom left their wedding behind and got into their car to leave. Everyone cheered as the couple drove off into the night waving goodbye.
