Modern Boho Wedding at Serra Plaza

Nicole and her bridesmaids got ready inside the bridal suite at Serra Plaza while Peter and his groomsmen suited up at the Inn at The Mission close by. After group pictures at their designated locations, the entire wedding party met at Serra Plaza where pink, white and brown floral details and sparkling chandeliers greeted them in the courtyard. As soon as guests began arriving, the wedding party hid away to line up for ceremony. Group by group walked through Serra Plaza’s grand arches, signed the bride and groom’s guest book, and found their seats facing the Spanish fountain. Once everyone was in attendance, the ceremony began.

Peter was first to begin the processional followed by bridesmaids, groomsmen, and ending with Nicole. The couple shared a sweet first look down the aisle, then were joined together. In front of all their family and friends, Nicole and Peter read personalized vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss. The crowd cheered as the two exited the courtyard holding hands and smiling from ear to ear.

Inside the lounge and on the back patio, Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Lemon Parmesan Artichoke Hearts, and Fig, Goat Cheese, and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed. The bar was serving up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Whiskey Lemonade and Cold Brew Martini, along with beer and wine. While guests mixed and mingled, the bride and groom snuck away to complete their marriage license, and upon their return, it was time for dinner.

Candles decorated tabletops back outside in the courtyard for reception. Guests checked the modern seating chart and took a seat at their assigned tables. Peter and Nicole made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. The first course of Roasted Golden Beet Salad was served followed by the main course of Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and Chicken Sonoma with Roasted Broccolini and Parmesan Polenta. The menu was selected by the couple with help from our event specialist, Arielle. While guests enjoyed dinner, friends and family stood and shared toasts. Glasses clinked in the air after the last speech, then Nicole and Pater cut into their wedding cake and invited guests to indulge in our Italian Dessert Station with a collection of Fresh Fruit Tarts, Chocolate Dipped Cannoli with Lemon Ricotta Filling, Florentine Cookies, Meyer Lemon Cheesecake Bars, and Mini Italiano Tiramisu Cupcakes. The remainder of the evening was spent posing for photos at the photo booth and dancing the night away.
