Modern Macrame Wedding With Smoke Bombs

Before guests arrived, Dylan and Niki got ready in Forme’s Sunburst and Sidecar Suites with their closest friends by their side. Niki’s bridal party dressed in shades of red while Dylan and his groomsmen wore black. After changing into her button-front wedding dress, Niki stepped out of the Sunburst Suite and into the Open Air Loft where Dylan was waiting for their first look. A tap of the shoulder turned Dylan around and smiles immediately filled both the bride and groom’s faces. Endearing words were exchanged, then the two, along with their wedding party, hid away until ceremony.

Guests arrived to a wooden welcome sign outlining the evening’s events: Ceremony, drinks, dinner, dancing. One by one guests entered, signed the guest book, then took a seat inside. A hexagon structure with macrame center stood tall as the backdrop and fall florals covered the ground. Once everyone was seated, the procession began. Niki was last to make an entrance and walked the aisle to her groom. In front of family and friends, the bride and groom read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss. Guests rose to their feet to cheer as the newlyweds made their exit into cocktail hour.

Sesame Shrimp and Mango Spring Rolls were served while the bar was mixing up cocktails. The bride and groom’s signature drinks, a Blue Hawaiian and Washington Apple Martini, were popular among guests and a milk tea truck provided a little something sweet. A black and white lounge with gold and marble accents offered a place to sit and relax while making small talk before dinner. Meanwhile, Dylan and Niki were out exploring the surrounding areas with colorful smoke bombs making for awesome golden hour photos. Upon their return, everyone had found their seats back inside for the reception.

The same ceremony backdrop was now repurposed as the sweetheart table backdrop and black linens covered all the tables. Gold chargers and flatware were accented by tall floral arrangements on the center of the tables and candles provided a romantic flickering of light. Dylan and Niki made their grand entrance into their first dance, then took a seat. Toasts were made and glasses clinked in the air as the couple said their thank yous to everyone in attendance. Next, tables were excused to fill their plates. A Salad Station with Panini Pasta Salad and Wild Cherry Salad, Chili and Cornbread Station, Bao Bar with Roasted Pork Belly and Thai Three Flavored BBQ Chicken, and a Melt Bar with Blackberry, Brie, Bacon and Jalapeno, and Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese Melts were setup around the venue. The bride and groom selected the menu with help from our Venue and Catering Manager, Rachel. Guests finished their plates and some went back for seconds, then the cake was cut and served. The evening ended out on the dance floor. Everyone danced around the bride and groom and at the end of the night, the group all posed together for a photo.
