Modern Romance Wedding at Serra Plaza

Ali and Shepherd met inside Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look on the afternoon of their wedding. A tap on the shoulder turned the groom around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a lace wedding dress. Smiles immediately filled their faces and sweet compliments were exchanged. The couple smiled for the camera, the headed back to Serra Plaza to join their wedding party for more photos. The bridesmaids were dressed in brown, and the groomsmen wore black. Together the group posed for the photographer creating lasting memories for years to come, then lined up for the ceremony.

Greenery and white flowers lined the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain backdrop. Once all the guests arrived in the Serra Plaza Courtyard, string musicians began playing and the wedding party made their entrances. In front of all their closest friends and family, Ali and Shepherd recited their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts, and Gloria’s Caramelized Bacon Wrapped Franks were tray passed around the Lounge while the bar served up Lychee Margarita and Spicy Margarita signature drinks. Mixed in with high and low cocktail tables, a modern tan and green lounge sat in front of the fireplace providing guests with additional seating. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head back outside for the reception.

Tables draped in white were topped with white flowers and greenery and surrounded a white and tan checkered dance floor. Everyone found their assigned tables and cheered when the newlyweds made their grand entrance. Tri-Tip Carvery, Chicken Santorini, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Fresh Vegetable Medley, and Pear and Walnut Salad was served while family and friends shared toasts. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Arielle. After dinner the bride and groom shared their first dance and invited their guests to indulge in our Classic Dessert Station with a collection of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Mango and Passion Fruit Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves.
