Outdoor Burgundy Floral Wedding at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano

Trevor and Ashley shared their first look under historic breezeways at Mission San Juan Capistrano on the afternoon of their wedding. A tap on the shoulder turned Trevor around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a beautiful basque waist wedding dress and smiles filled their faces. The couple shared sweet compliments, posed for photos around the Mission grounds, and read handwritten vows privately before heading back to Serra Plaza for their ceremony.

Guests arrived at Serra Plaza’s iron gates where a large fabric welcome sign swayed in the wind and mauve and green florals decorated it at its foot. Through the gates and past draped archways, bentwood chairs were arranged in a circle in the middle of the Courtyard and white pillars stood topped with burgundy, butter yellow, ivory, blush, and peach floral arrangements. Once everyone was seated the wedding party made their entrances ending with Ashley. Together in front of all their closest friends and loving family, Trevor and Ashley recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Thai Chicken Spring Rolls were tray passed while chefs grilled and served Quattro Formaggi Melts and Creamy Tomato Soup Shooters from our Melt Bar. Espresso Martini signature drinks were shaken up at the bar and guests mixed and mingled in the Lounge and Hidden Terrace until it was time to head back out into the Courtyard for the reception.

Round tables set in a serpentine formation bordered a white and wood checkered dance floor. Tables were topped with crushed velvet table numbers, fresh floral and fruit centerpieces, burgundy candlesticks, and printed menus. Ashley and Trevor made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their head table. Ultimate Caesar Salad was served first as toasts began, then Classic Filet Mignon and Zucchini Lime Chicken with Roasted Broccolini and Smashed Baby Potatoes followed. To end the meal service on a sweet note, the newlyweds cut into our Vintage Two-Tier wedding cake topped with raspberries and invited their guests to indulge in a slice. After dinner and dessert, everyone hit the dance floor, and Ashley changed into a fun second look. Guests danced, posed for selfies, and enjoyed Meat Lovers Mini Pizzas and Chicken Pesto Mini Pizzas as late night snacks. After lots of well wishes shared, everyone sent off the bride and groom in an uproar of cheers.
