Pizza My Heart Team Meeting at Grand Gimeno

When National Pizza Day just happens to land on the day we plan a sales team meeting at Grand Gimeno, we go big. The theme was ‘pizza my heart’ because Valentine’s Day was just around the corner, and we had to decorate accordingly. The first stop of the day was Sundrop Vintage to pick up pink pillows that would fill in Grand Gimeno’s fire pit area perfectly. With the pillows secured, the next stop was Trader Joe’s to grab a few V-Day inspired flowers. We loaded up a basket with roses, baby’s breath, carnations, and alstroemeria, then headed to the venue to get everything set up and organized.

Upon our arrival, the pizza oven was already being prepped for cooking. We laid out the flower vases and got to pruning. Thorns and leaves were removed from each stem, then bouquets of white and pink were formed and placed on top of the tables. All the pillows from Sundrop were spread out at the fire pit seating area, and just in time, the sales team arrived in the Foyer. Hannah, our Director of Sales, lead the team around each room discussing venue features and inclusions while the chefs tossed, sauced, topped, and cooked our Carnitas Chipotle, Neapolitan, and Chicken Ranch Dijon Flatbreads. The group ended their venue tour in the Olive Grove where they were served a sampling of all our Hess wine offerings just before dinner was served.

Excited and ready to try our new Grand Gimeno Flatbreads for the first time, the team headed over to the counter to fill their plates with salad and fresh out of the oven pizza. Classic Neapolitan and our newest creations, Carnitas Chipotle and Chicken Ranch Dijon, were sliced and placed atop serving platters. Everyone made sure to try a little of everything and grabbed a glass of wine, water or lemonade to pair with their dinner. Just as the sun was setting (the most beautiful time in the Olive Grove) the team was finishing up dinner while our chefs were just pulling something sweet out of the oven. The evening ended around the fire pit as the girls snacked on dessert and posed for group photos before heading home.
