Romantic Black, White, and Greenery Wedding at Serra Plaza

Aanika and Jonny met at Mission San Juan Capistrano to start their wedding day with a first look. A tap on the shoulder turned Jonny around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in an off-the-shoulder wedding gown and cathedral veil blowing in the breeze. Smiles immediately filled their faces and happy tears were shed. The couple shared sweet compliments and posed for photos around The Mission together before heading back to Serra Plaza for their ceremony.

Guests signed Jonny and Aanika’s guest book, made their way through draped breezeways, and took a seat in the Courtyard. White flowers and greenery marked the back of the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain at the head. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Aanika. In front of all their closest friends and family, Aanika and Jonny read personalized vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Black and white decorated the Lounge where cocktail hour was held. Fig, Goat Cheese, and Mascarpone Tarts, Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites, and Mini Corn Dogs were tray passed, and as a special treat, a Poke Station was available for guests to indulge in. The bar served up beer, wine, and the newlywed’s signature cocktails, an Espresso Martini and Adios. While everyone mixed and mingled, the bride and groom posed for photos together around the venue as husband and wife. Upon their return, it was time for the reception.

Chandeliers and candles illuminated the Courtyard for a romantic dinner setting. White flowers topped tables, and black napkins contrasted the soft foliage. Jonny and Aanika made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Family and friends shared toasts while Thai Three Flavored BBQ Chicken, Filet Mignon Carvery, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Green Beans, and Caesar Salad was served. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Brittany. After dinner, the couple cut into our Vintage Confetti Cake, popped champagne, and invited their guests to partake in our Gourmet Dessert Station with a collection of Mini Lemon Meringue Tarts, Berry Champagne Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Mini Carrot Cupcakes, and Caramel Cream with Lemon Curd and Praline Crisp Dessert Shots. The evening ended with everyone back in the Lounge and out on the dance floor showing off their best moves!
