Romantic White Wedding at Serra Plaza

Maddie and her bridal party sipped on champagne while getting their hair and makeup done inside the bridal suite at Serra Plaza. After plenty of snacks, sipping on bubbly, and good conversations, Maddie was ready for her first look with Justin, and she headed to Mission San Juan Capistrano. The couple met in the Sacred Garden, and on the count of three, Justin turned around to see his beautiful bride standing before him. An emotional first look was shared and happy tears filled their eyes while the two shared sweet compliments. Excited for the celebratory day ahead, Justin and Maddie wandered around Mission San Juan Capistrano with their photographer posing for photos together, then headed back to Serra Plaza just in time for the ceremony.

Sparkling chandeliers hung above the ceremony space decorated in white flowers and greenery. Guests signed the bride and groom’s guest book and headed into the courtyard to take a seat. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances down the aisle ending with Maddie. In front of all their closest friends and family, the bride and groom read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Gloria’s Caramelized Bacon Wrapped Franks and Gorgonzola and Caramelized Onion Bruschetta were tray passed for cocktail hour while the bar was serving up Old Fashioned and Moscow Mule signature drinks. While guests mixed and mingled, family posed for photos, then the newlyweds posed for photos together as husband and wife. Once everyone had eaten their fill and pictures were complete, dinner was ready.

A white reception setup greeted guests as they found their seats at floral topped tables. Maddie and Justin made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table.  BBQ Boneless Chicken, Sliced Beef Brisket, Macaroni and Cheese, Gourmet Mashed Potatoes, Warm Skillet Corn Bread, and Caesar Salad was served. The menu was selected by the bride and groom during their planning process with our event specialist, Kristy. While everyone enjoyed dinner, guests stood to share toasts and glasses clinked in the air. To end the meal on a sweet note, the newlyweds cut into their white wedding cake with cappuccino creme filling, shared a bite, and invited everyone to indulge in our All American Dessert Station with a collection of s’more macarons, gourmet rice krispy treats, chocolate ganache brownies, individual strawberry shortcakes, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. The celebration continued inside where guests grabbed glow sticks and hit the dance floor. The non-stop energy was met with late night snacks of BBQ Chicken Mini Pizzas, Chicken Pesto Mini Pizzas, and Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites. The evening ended with friendly goodbyes and plenty of well wishes for the newlyweds.
