Romantic Winter Wedding at The Estate on Second

After buttoning up her mermaid style wedding gown in The Suite, Julie headed up to The Attic at The Estate on Second where her future husband, Andrew, waited for their first look. When the wait almost became too much to bear for Andrew, Julie took her place at the top of the stairs and Andrew turned around to see his stunning bride. Happy tears, laughs, and sweet words were shared between the two in a moment of privacy before heading back downstairs for their ceremony.

Inside the Crystal Ballroom grand cement vases stood atop tall gold pedestals framing in the center Palladian window and vines crawled up the curtain and beams. While guests were arriving and taking their seats, Julie and Andrew strolled around the Estate grounds for bridal party and family photos before heading inside. Once everyone was seated, Andrew was first to walk out followed by the remainder of the bridal party and ending with Julie. An emotional walk down the aisle lead her to her groom. Handwritten vows were exchanged between the two and the significance of each ring was shared as the bride and groom slipped them onto each other’s finger. The newlyweds were pronounced husband and wife and a roar of applause arose from the crowd as they sealed the deal with a kiss.

Cocktail hour began upstairs and a Crudite and Homemade Chip Station with buttermilk ranch and onion dip was available to guests along with tray passed Mini Palm Sandwiches. A Moscow Mule and Titos and Sprite were Julie and Andrew’s signature drinks that were being shaken up and served at the bar while everyone mingled. While cocktail hour proceeded upstairs, downstairs the Crystal Ballroom was being transformed for the reception. Tables were draped in grey velvet and contrasting rust colored napkins were folded at each place setting. For centerpieces, tall black candlesticks matched black vases that housed floral bouquets ranging in color from deep red to light pink. As soon as everything was set, guests found their seats via a seating chart decorated in greenery and awaited the newlyweds grand entrance.

Julie and Andrew happily cheered into the Crystal Ballroom right into their first dance under sparkling chandeliers, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Toasts from loved ones were shared while the dinner buffet opened serving up Mac n Cheese, BBQ Boneless Chicken, Sliced Beef Brisket, Caesar Salad, Baked Beans, and Cornbread Muffins with honey butter that had been previously selected by our Event Specialist, Casey, along with the bride and groom for an irresistible meal. After dinner, the bride and groom cut into their personal-size lemon cake with cream cheese filling and classic buttercream icing. Guests we able to enjoy an All American Dessert Station with Lemon Curd Tarts, Fresh Fruit Crostatas, Old Fashioned Cookies, Gourmet Rice Krispie Bars, and Mini Rocky Road Cupcakes. The remainder of the evening was spent capturing memories in the photo booth and out on the dancefloor.
