Saddle Up! Gala for Ronald McDonald House at The Swanner House

Ronald McDonald House guests threw on their boots, buckled their belts, hoisted up their blue jeans and headed to the Saddle Up! Gala hosted at the Swanner House in San Juan Capistrano. A horse drawn carriage ride took guests from the parking lot straight to the entryway check in where they were greeted with smiling faces and given silent auction paddles. Once inside the event, engaging activations were sprinkled around the cocktail hour space. Win a bottle of wine at the ring toss, take your pick at the grab bag station, bid on silent auction items, customize a hat at the hat bar, and so much more. While pursing the fun stations, guests snacked on our Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites, Gorgonzola Caramelized Onion Bruschetta, Chicken Jalapeno Empanadas, and Crab Cake hors d’oeuvres and sipped on Cosmo and Tequila Mule signature drinks. After cocktail hour everyone headed down to enjoy dinner. Tables were topped with orange and blue floral arrangements, bandanas, printed programs, and horseshoes. Inspiring stories and heartfelt speeches were shared under the stars, then guests lined up at the buffets for dinner. Tri-Tip Carvery, Brisket, Boneless BBQ Chicken Thighs, Mac n Cheese, Cheesy Potatoes, Baked Beans, Corn Bread, and BBQ Chop Salad were on the menu. Our event specialist, Brittany, helped organize the menu to match the event’s western theme. Once back at their tables, everyone participated in a live auction and ended the evening with some line dancing.

The Ronald McDonald House provides essential programs and services that ease the financial and emotional burdens families face while their children receive medical care. With the dedicated support of volunteers and local Chapters, the organization offers a true home-away-from-home for families with seriously ill children. Thanks to the generosity of this year’s Saddle Up! For RMHOC Gala attendees, RMHOC raised over $425,000, helping ensure that children in need of life-saving treatment, and their families, continue to receive comfort, care, and support when it matters most.
