Serra Plaza Something Blue Luxury Wedding

Sofia and Sean got ready at Serra Plaza then met at Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look. Happy tears rolled down their cheeks when the couple saw each other for the first time that day. After the sweet exchange, Sean and Sofia wandered around the Mission for portraits together and rejoined their wedding party back at Serra Plaza for group pictures. The groomsmen were dressed in black and the bridesmaids wore blue and held white rose bouquets. Together, the group smiled for the camera and lined up for ceremony.

White flowers with pops of blue decorated the courtyard at Serra Plaza while guests filed in. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Sofia. In front of all their friends and family, the bride and groom shared personal vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Inside the lounge, Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Crab Cakes were tray passed and Aperol Spritz and Cadillac Margarita signature drinks were being poured. While everyone mixed and mingled, the newlyweds spent time together sipping on drinks and snacking on hors d’oeuvres while signing their marriage certificate. At the end of cocktail hour guests checked the seating chart and headed outside for reception.

White and blue patterned linens topped reception tables and fresh floral centerpieces completed the décor. Sofia and Sean made their grand entrance, shared their first dance with guests, and took a seat. Summer Spinach and Berry Salad were plated around each table followed by the main course of Lemon and Thyme Glazed Chicken, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Roasted Asparagus, and Fingerling Potatoes. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Arielle. Guests stood to share toasts and the meal service ended with the bride and groom cutting into their two-tiered wedding cake and inviting their guests to indulge in a slice for dessert. The remainder of the evening was spent out on the dance floor, snacking on Mini Corn Dog late night snacks, dancing with glow sticks, and a silver streamer send-off.
