Sparks Fly at Hangar 21 South

Matthew buttoned up his suit in the mezzanine of Hangar 21 South while Nuri slipped on her veil. The bride and groom were about to have their first look and all the details needed to be perfect. Once all their finishing touches were complete, the two met on the side patio. With a tap of the shoulder, Matthew turned around and a smile immediately filled his face when he saw Nuri in her beautiful off-the-shoulder-, lace wedding gown. The bride and groom shared a brief moment together before being met by their groomsmen and bridesmaids. Together the group posed for photos before lining up for the ceremony.

Live music ushered guests into the side patio where a copper arbor was decorated with pampas grass, baby’s breath, and ivory and light pink flowers. Nuri stayed hidden while guests mingled with the wedding party and found their seats. Once everyone had arrived, Matthew lead the charge down the aisle and Nuri closed out the entrances. In front of all their family and friends, Nuri and Matthew read handwritten vows and exchanged rings. Everyone cheered as the two shared a kiss to end the ceremony and petals were throw in the air as they exited.

Cocktail hour was on the tarmac where two lounge spaces were set up for guests. One lounge housed ivory furnishings and rattan details while the other was a bit more modern with a forest green sofa and metal accents. Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Fig, Goat Cheese & Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed and the bar was serving up the newlyweds signature cocktails, an Old Fashioned and Paloma. Matthew and Nuri mixed and mingled for a few minutes, then got called to the live tarmac for their helicopter flight. The bride and groom posed for photos in front of the helicopter, then hopped in and took off. Upon their return, guests were seated at their dinner tables, phone at the ready for grand entrance photos.

Tables were draped in ivory linens and golden name tags topped each plate. Dried floral arrangements added decoration to the reception space and the ceremony arbor was repurposed for the sweetheart table inside. Nuri and Matthew touched down from their flight and the crowd went crazy. Phone cameras were flashing as they made their grand entrance into the hangar. Oohs and aahs were whispered all around while the newlyweds shared their first dance, then dinner was served. The first course of Pear & Walnut Salad was tray passed, then the entree course was served. Filet Medallion with Black Truffle Sauce and Baguetta Seabass in Lemon Beurre Blanc served with Oven Roasted Rainbow Fingerling Potatoes and Grilled Green & White Asparagus and vegetarian Stuffed Portobello Mushroom with Quinoa and Grilled Vegetables filled the plates of guests. The plated menu was selected by the bride and groom during their planning process with our Event Specialist, Patti. Toasts were shared, then the cake was cut and a dessert station opened. While snacking on sweets guests posed for photos in the photo booth bus on the tarmac and danced with the bride and groom. At the end of the evening, everyone headed to the front of Hangar 21 and participated in a sparkler send off for Nuri and Matthew.
