Summer Wedding at Forme Los Angeles

Guests arrived through wooden doors and into Forme’s courtyard for Melissa and Donnell’s wedding. Signatures and well wishes were penned onto wooden hearts at the welcome table and warm hellos could be heard amongst the breeze. An angular arch stood tall at the head of the aisle decorated in pampas grass and flowers where the bride and groom would soon stand and ghost chairs were perfectly aligned completing the ceremony space. After grabbing water and lemonade, guests took a seat awaiting the bride and groom’s arrival as soft music played in the background. Donnell walked out in a black tux followed by Melissa in a classic white dress. Everyone stood while Melissa and her father walked down the aisle and sat when they reached Donnell. The two exchanged handwritten vows and rings, then sealed the ceremony with a kiss as guests cheered on.

Assorted Mini Palm Sandwiches and Red New Potato with Gorgonzola & Bacon were tray passed during cocktail hour in the courtyard. Melissa and Donnell’s signature cocktails, a Pineapple Margarita and Old Fashioned, were being poured at the bar while guests mixed and mingled. Meanwhile, the newlyweds were posing for photos around the venue and soaking up all their marital bliss. Just as the sun was setting, everyone got called inside for dinner.

A seating chart led everyone to their assigned tables where they were greeted by beautiful floral centerpieces. Melissa and Donnell made their grand entrance onto the dance floor and shared their first dance in front of all their family and friends. Toasts were shared, then dinner was served. A menu of Caesar Salad, BBQ Boneless Chicken, Sliced Beef Brisket, Mashed Potato Station, Bakes Beans and Warm Skillet Corn Bread was chosen by the bride and groom with help from our Venue and Catering Manager, Rachel. Rave reviews could be heard around each table while some guests got up for seconds. Plates were then cleared and the dance floor opened up with some oldies blaring through the speakers. Everyone got out of their seats and boogied over to show off their best moves. The evening ended with a cake cutting and a delicious donut wall for all to indulge in. Sweet memories and sweet treats will never be forgotten by those who attended Melissa and Donnell’s wedding.
