Winter Wedding at Grand Gimeno

Nerusha and her bridesmaids sipped on champagne in the Powder Room at Grand Gimeno while getting hair and makeup ready in matching robes. On the other side of the venue, Uthem and his groomsmen suited up in the Parlor. A furry friend made a special appearance while both groups finished primping and pampering, then it was time for group photos before the ceremony. The bride dressed in a gorgeous lace gown and her bridesmaids in burgundy posed in the courtyard holding bouquets of white and red flowers, then headed to a local church. Next, Uthem and his groomsmen smiled for the camera. The groom wore a white tux, and each groomsman wore navy. After group pictures were complete, the guys trailed behind the girls on the way to an off-site ceremony.

After I dos and rings were exchanged, Nerusha and Uthem’s wedding party and guests arrived back at Grand Gimeno for cocktail hour and reception. Tray passed Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts and Chicken Jalapeno Empanadas made their rounds and the bar was serving up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Mojito and Dark and Stormy. Cocktail tables were set up in the Foyer with fresh floral centerpieces that matched the fireplace mantle arrangements, and candles completed the décor. Everyone mixed and mingled and shared stories about the bride and groom, then headed inside for dinner.

Tables were draped in solid and patterned ivory linens and tall centerpieces filled with deep red, white, and pink flowers kept with the color scheme. Guests found their assigned seats, then turned their attention to the draped archway. Nerusha and Uthem made their grand entrance, and everyone cheered from their seats. The newlyweds shared their first dance, then took a seat at their floral-filled sweetheart table. Friends and family made toasts and champagne glasses clinked in the air when each speech ended, then dinner was served. First, a Pear and Walnut Salad, then Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and Chicken Sonoma with Smashed Baby Potatoes and Roasted Broccolini. After dinner, Uthem and Nerusha cut into their 3-tiered wedding cake. Each tier was a different flavor: Marble, red velvet and white cake! The couple each shared a bite and invited their guests to indulge in a slice. The evening ended out on the dance floor where the bride and groom were surrounded by loving celebration and well wishes.
